Erin Alton

MS, LCMHCA

Erin Alton (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate who has experience in school, clinical, and college settings. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Masters of Science in Counseling, and also has a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has worked with children, families, adolescents, young adults, and adults.

Erin’s goal is for therapy to be a safe space for you to feel accepted, validated, and ready to grow. She will listen to you, meet you where you are, and help you to process past experiences and how they have impacted who you are now. She will support you in your goals and help you to understand how you are able to make and maintain positive changes in your life.

Erin works from a strengths-based perspective, and is a strong believer in person centered therapy and having unconditional positive regard for all clients. She also works from cognitive behavioral theory and solutions-focused theory. She is LGBTQ+ affirming and provides a welcoming space for all.

In her free time Erin enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and being outdoors.
